The Gift Of Art...

Housekeeping has been the order of the day in Chez Serendipity and it seems to have started to overflow into this space too. You may notice some changes happening in my sidebar over the coming weeks and I've decided that my 'gift giving' in 2012 will take some new forms.

If you've been visiting for a while you would know that one of the regular gifts that I shared was an art-based activity titled 'Two For Tuesday'. This was an interactive post where I presented two pieces of work from one artist and everyone had an opportunity to comment on how each piece of art related to the other, or alternatively how the art spoke to people about what was happening in their own lives at that point in time.

You constantly surprised me with your wonderful insights and I thoroughly enjoyed sharing the gift of art with you.  In my housekeeping busyness, I've decided to take the long list of artists from my sidebar but if you'd like to seek an artist, simply scroll to the 'Seek A Gift Here' button towards the bottom of the sidebar and pop in 'Two For Tuesday' and you'll be find a plethora of artists to marvel at.

'Two For Tuesday' will take a break for a while whilst I think about if it will return and I'll be guided by whether or not you would like to see it continue or if you may have thoughts on how it might be improved.

A gentle reminder that tomorrow is the first Tuesday of the month which means that it's our first 'Vive le Livre' party and I can't wait to find out what you've been reading. I finally got to the end of the mammoth "Atlas Shrugged" in time to include it on my 'I've Read' list and can't wait to share my insights with you.

Until we meet tomorrow ~ happy day!

  1. Felicity your blog is looking wonderful & I wish I could get into a bit of 'housekeeping' myself OUTSIDE of the virtual world LOL... the art you have discovered would do a museum curator proud so cudos to you in bringing a visual delight to the attention of many... I will be interested to see what form it takes on in it's reincarnation :) Take care & Hugs x

    1. Hey Shelley! Thank you for this lovely note and encouragement - I'm wondering in complete bewilderment where January went but at least I've got some tidy spots in my life to prove that I've been productive...well at least a little bit.

For those of you reading this note, Shelley is a very gifted artist and friend. She's currently sharing a series of faces on her blog and I'd encourage you to stop by and say "Hi!" - just click her name and follow the prompts.

      Happy day!

  8. Hi Lovey! Always fun to spiff things up, blogs included. You always have such pretty graphics. Will look forward to your book review even if I am not participating. Reading is on the back burner which is not necessarily a good thing as I always had a book in my hand, but my mind is elsewhere which is a fine too. Always being creative in some way, Margie

  10. You know I love the Two for Tuesday posts! I'll love whatever you decide to do 'cause I love you :)
I must see this magazine article. We were looking at photos yesterday, trying to decide if she is indeed a heeler or if she is more kelpie (like one of our last dogs was). Hard to say at this point. Mostly she's cute, a villain though for sure :)

    1. Hey J, I'm sorry to disappoint with the TFT's - I have something special coming up that's going to take up quite a bit of my allocated blogging time so I had to do some prioritising.
As for Tinley, he does look more long and lanky like a Kelpie but you never know, I'll scan the article and let you read for yourself.
Happy day and a cuddle for your busy ball of fur.

  11. Hello Gorgeous You know how much I treasured TFT and all the effort you put into it. You are indeed a curator of the first order. I'd love to see it back in some form but understand your need to marshall your energies as you desire. J x
