Happy Friday Fabulous You!
A quick question if you will.
I'm wondering where it is that you do most of your blogging?
{this image is part of a series by famed photographer Gabriela Herman}
The reason that I ask this is because last week I found myself bedbound for several days, with my little laptop {Sophia for those in the know} as my most constant friend. We travelled the world, caught up on lots of correspondence, got creative, watched a stack of iView and basked in the glow emanating from Sophia's screen.
Now this habit of screen time in my bed runs counter to the philosophy that Captain V and I have that the bedroom should be a place for rest and connection, hence the fact that we don't have a TV in our room.
But let me tell you something....I liked it.
And just between you and I, I'm having a lovely time this morning still in my PJs sitting on my bed typing this to you. It's comfortable, it's quiet and although my office space is absolutely glorious there's still an atmosphere of work about sitting at my desk.
Just quietly, I feel a bit like I did when I was little and reading books by torchlight under the covers after I was meant to be asleep.
Is it wrong to blog in bed?
Do you have an image of your best Blogerista buddies when you're reading their posts and does it include them typing away from an office, kitchen or bedroom?
Where is it that you blog most?
Do you have a designated space or is it a case of grabbing a bit of screen time when you can?
I know that this is more than the one question that I mentioned at the start, but my mind is reeling!
Where are you sending your posts from that I read with such delight?

i blog from my office/drawing room/guest bedroom. even tho i have a laptop, i have it hooked up to printers, external hard drive, etc. that i don't unplug it and go mobile very often. :)
ReplyDeleteI blog in my studio. My husband created this wonderful space for me and I'm in here about 14 hours a day running my two shops so blogging just gets squeezed in between :) We don't have a TV in our bedroom either ;)
ReplyDeleteAh, you are the Queen of Questions!!! Let me see...I have a desktop in a room in our lower level that I used to blog from all the time until I got my macbook. Now, that one is in the kitchen and I use that more. However, I use my ipad to check in on the blogs I follow. It isn't the easiest one to use for commenting because the print is small and it is touch type. I am not one to use my laptop in bed, but I am sure I am in the minority.
ReplyDeleteHi Felicity..I hope you are ok now..I hadn't realised you were bedbound this week. I have a little nook just around the corner from my bedroom in which I sit and type...it's not particularly attractive but has great views out the window beside me..of the street and my next door neighbours yard..lol.
ReplyDeleteI usually blog from my dining table! But I've also blogged in bed which could become addictive :) - especially on cold, wintery days! xo
ReplyDeleteI normally blog in just one place but I get my ideas for posts everywhere.
ReplyDeleteXoxo
Sarah
Hi felicity hope you are feeling better soon!! Well I blog from my desk which is just off from the kitchen & by the dinning table I still feel apart of the family then & not shut away from them, being in this special place which my family have lovingly let me claim for myself is making me so Inspirational its fab. I do however grab my lap top on some Sundays (not very often) to browse the blogging community but since we have moved I must admit I haven't had the chance.
ReplyDeleteI so love to blog in bed, so warm, so comfortable and just seems the right place to be reading favourite blogs. However I have found it not very helpful in the relationship area and have been trying really hard not to partake of such a delight. So now I blog all over the house instead. Haha! So hope you are recovering well. N x
ReplyDeleteusually my kitchen table. or, on days when the hubby is away... from bed.
ReplyDeleteWould love to blog from the bedroom (although like you agree it should just be for sleep), however my laptop can't find the wireless connection, which means that it isn't so portable these days. Occasionally I read blogs and comment on the Ipad when I am putting my toddler to bed, as she doesn't like being along, but I find writing whole posts on the Ipad a bit of a pain. So mainly, I am stuck in a corner of the dining room!
ReplyDeleteI blog from wherever I am with my computer when I have the time! The kitchen table, my home office, and sometimes even... gasp... my bed. Although, I do think we need a rule of no laptops in the bedroom. Kind of like, no TV during dinner. (I am of course, leaving this comment, from under my warm covers in bed!) :)
ReplyDeleteGood morning! I discovered you from over at Run*Around*Ranch (LOVE Theresa!).
ReplyDeleteAnd I love your blog! I will be a regular reader here.
I blog from my computer in our bedroom (and yes, we also have a tv in here!). I also have a studio loft where I make greeting cards; sometimes I blog from that computer.
I can understand your analogy to reading in bed by flashlight!
