The Gift of Sharing...

Happy Sunday!

I know I've been posting a lot of videos lately but it just happens that these are the gifts that I've discovered serendipitously which have really resonated with my heart and today is no exception.

I stumbled upon Cat's blog { 'Wouldn't It Be Loverly' } via a post by Lucy's of { 'Diminishing Lucy' }  fame and was greeted with the following wonderful clip.  I think I've watched it five times already!

The song itself is powerful but I also love that the lyrics are an ode to the Sydney Opera House and that there are so many of my favourite Australian performing artists showcased.

I hope you love it too and enjoy sharing your own gifts of serendipity throughout the week to come....

For those of you who are interested here is a list of the artists featured in order of appearance:

The Ship Song Project - Sydney Opera House reinterprets Nick Cave's iconic song.
Performed by Neil Finn, Kev Carmody and The Australian Ballet, Sarah Blasko, John Bell, Angus and Julia Stone, Paul Kelly and Bangarra Dance Theatre, Teddy Tahu Rhodes and Opera Australia, Martha Wainwright, Katie Noonan and The Sydney Symphony, The Temper Trap, Daniel Johns and the Australian Chamber Orchestra.
Directed by Paul Goldman.
Arranged by Elliott Wheeler.
Photography by Prudence Upton.

  1. I'm a huge fan of Nick Cave but I cannot believe that I've missed this song. The reinterpretation is simply magnificent and rousing. I'm currently working on a mixed media art piece of the Sydney Opera House so this song would be a perfect to play when ready to exhibit (if I may be so bold...) Felicity, thanks for sharing

Thank you for stopping by and sharing your thoughts.
Each new comment is a gift - unexpected and lovely.
Although I'd love to reply to each and every one, this isn't always possible, but know that I read and appreciate them all.
