Word Of The Week - The Symbol On Your 7 Key
Hello dear friend, thanks for popping in.
Due to unforseen circumstances I'm having a break in transmission and won't be sharing a new word this week.
Instead how about learning about the amazing ampersand* or '&' sign which I wrote about last year.
It has the most alluring shape and many people don't even know what it's called even though they use it many times each day. It's simply 'the symbol on the 7 key' on your keyboard.
I hope that you enjoy this read and look forward to seeing you next Wednesday where I'm excited to be sharing my MOST favourite word EVER!
Until then enjoy zhushing your vocabulary.

Hi Felicity.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and having a read of my Mummy musings!
I love the pretty & - it is so quirky and unique and would look great framed on my wall!
I also totally relate to the picture of the gorgeous, sluggish ballerina. I have been feeling EXACTLY like that for a whole week now as I recover from surgery. The lovely image brought a smile to my face and reminded me that I don't always have to go full-pelt!
Have a restful weekend. Love Catherine x

ReplyDeleteHi Felicity I hope you are well? I remember the Ampersand post I so love that picture, I just sold two ampersand book end's the other day they were so gorgeous, I love writing the & instead of and it took me many practices to get it looking nice!! Enjoy the coming week! :)
ReplyDeleteI have to say - I have a passion for the word Ampersand. I have no idea why. There is something arty about it. I think ampersand - I think classic print setting, monmartre, vivacious fonts, literary genious....my mind even just skipped to Toulouse loutrec. Who'd have thought a little symbol could trigger so much imagery. Strange - the images have nothing to do with the meaning of it!
