Gathering Gratefuls

Today I am grateful for...

1.  My beautiful doggy mate Buster who sadly went to heaven this time last week after a battle with kidney disease. We love you beautiful friend and will miss your happy smile, big bouncy hugs and warm cuddles.  You have been a loyal and loving member of our family and you will be greatly missed.

2. Not to dwell too long on this sadness, I do want to say how grateful I am to have had the time I've enjoyed with this beautiful soul.  He has taught me so much and words really fail to express my sorrow at this time.

3. Blogeristas! To Jane, Naomi, Charmaine, Ing and Maxabella...thank you for being such wonderful regular supporters of my little blog and great encouragers of my musings. To everyone who has stopped by this first week of Now!vember and left a comment, thank you!

4. Thank you also to Multiple Mum for presenting me with a Beautiful Blogger Award.

She is a lovely, honest writer and I enjoy both her posts and the comments that she leaves here.  Unfortunately she has just had some sad news and could probably do with a little blog loving to ease her way.

5. Finally this week, I am most grateful for the beautiful home and grounds in which we live.  It is a joy to reside in a safe, clean, quiet environment.  Our spring flowers, trees and shrubs are at their very finest and it is a pleasure to look out any window and see green, purple, white or yellow blossoms in abundance.

Enjoy your weekend dear friend and remember to take time to spend in the now!

This post is part of Maxabella's Saturday Grateful linky....go on, you know you want to join in!
If you have a little reading time up your sleeve, you may also like to have a peek at what we've been writing as part of the Now!vember project...

  3. Very sorry to hear about Buster. Losing a pet is losing a loving member of the family. I still have heaps of memories of my family dog who died when I was 20... 16 years ago! Beautiful sentiments today Felicity. You inspire me! xx

  10. Pets are such an integral part of our souls aren't they...we are lucky to have them in our lives for the time we can spend together. And I am with you on the 'grateful for bloggers' one too - I haven't been in this game for very long, but the friendship, advice, inspiration and support I receive each day from people all over the world is unbelievable!! xxx

  11. Felicity so sad to hear about the loss of Buster from the family unit. They manage to work their way into our hearts and position themselves as high importance in the family structure. Its not until they go that you realise how much the dynamics of the family and its everyday activities revolve around this 'pet'. Its then you realise they are not a pet that they have equal status to any member in the family. We still remember our beautiful boy who we had for 17 years and wont be replacing him for a very long time.

  14. The loss of a beloved pet is very hard to bear Felicity. Although we know they won't be with us for a long time, we don't intellectualize that, just fall head over heels for them. Your Grateful List is delightful, you really a glass half full girl.
